I’m a painter, it’s in my bones and I have been painting my whole life. For years I made my living working in aerospace, but I am now back spending my energy creating art, most often with oil painting.

I’ve been  fortunate with mentors and instruction. I grew up in an artistic home with a graphic designer and fine artist for a grandfather. In high school I had the luck of being a studio assistant to Ellsworth Kelly which was life shaping in honing my eye and connection with abstract and contemporary art. I’ve had many classes at Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts and at Boston University. More recently I have had much support and mentoring from Jeff Yeomans, who has moved me forward in many dimensions, and has helped me plug into the San Diego art community.

What a great opening on the 1st. Thanks to all who attended. The art committee at Saint James did a wonderful job, and Cappo Kelly provided some fine music. Many paintings were sold and are on their way to new homes. All done for the good cause of supporting the preservation of our oceans. All proceeds are going to ‘Art for Nature’. Below I’ve posted many of the paintings exhibited in the show. Have a look.
